Mindfulness & Yoga Meditation Training
This training teaches the skills of mindfulness and yoga breathing techniques, how to recognise the signs of stress before this is detrimental to mental and physical well-being and when to apply mindfulness breaks within the working environment.

Participants will learn:
Signs of physical and mental stress
How to recognise when stress is building & when to take a break
Stop, Drop, Go technique
2 minute series of de-stress movements at their work station
Effective deep yoga breathing to change the brainwaves in 12 breaths
Mindfulness tips to aid mental focus in the present moment
5 minute practice to bring the mind & body to calm
As each participant is individual in how they respond to stress, there will be opportunity to explore their personal responses through questionnaire and small group discussion.
In keeping with current research in how the brain learns, this is an experiential hands-on course utilising current training methods for a practical application to increase personal well-being in the workplace.

Course Trainer: Jenny Light has a degree in Psychology, over 25 years experience teaching and staff training in education & is a full Chartered Teacher. She has been a yoga teacher, meditation & mindfulness teacher for 20 years. Jenny is a professional member of Independent Yoga Network (IYN). M.A. Soc Sc, PGCE, Chartered Teacher, Diploma Dru Yoga.
The foundation course is designed to develop focus of the mind, discernment of ego and higher self and to learn tools which can be used to bring calm in everyday life. Beginners are taught how to establish and maintain their own meditation practice.
Jenny teaches single-pointed focus in yogic meditation, pranayama (yogic breathing control), mudra (creating energy circuits in the hands) and an introduction to the psychic anatomy of the chakras and our bodies, over 8 sessions in Glasgow or Kilmarnock. The Online Learning option
Jenny is pleased to offer the Foundation Yogic Meditation course as a distant learning option over 8 months with one-to-one support. The course develops focus of the mind, discernment of ego and higher self and to learn tools which can be used to bring calm in everyday life. Beginners are taught how to establish and maintain their own meditation practice.
Course notes & teaching MP3 included, plus 3 scheduled one-to-one sessions with Jenny via phone or Zoom. Cost £150.
Completion of Jenny Foundation Yogic Meditation or similar (yoga diploma/ experienced meditator) and a well established personal meditation practice are prerequisites for the Advanced Yogic Meditation course.
Learn how to fine tune the breath, mental restlessness and move beyond the physical experience. Learn to bring the mind and ego into conscious control and to touch the inner Divine Self. Teaching will revolve around the nature of Universal reality, the koshas (psychic sheaths) and the three gunas (aspects of nature) and personal introspection with specific meditations. Study on this course will require a deeper level of commitment to the student's own inner path to discover God or Divinity within.
Cost £150 to small groups of students in the Glasgow/ Ayrshire area.
